I’ve read plenty of Christian fiction, but "Revealed Truth" stuck out to me because it doesn't try to sugarcoat how awful and paralyzing anxiety actually feels. The story follows a teenager named Maddie who is dealing with severe panic attacks and constant fear, which only gets worse when her dad disappears on a top-secret military mission. I loved the characters of Grammy and Rachel, who step in to mentor her. They don't judge her for being scared; instead, they show her how faith and fear can actually exist in the same room, and how to use the "shield of faith" when your mind is racing. At the same time, you get this high-stakes thriller plot with her dad, David, trying to stop a massive national threat. It’s an interesting mix—half cozy, faith-filled coming-of-age story, and half fast-paced military mystery. If you or a teen in your life struggle with worry or feeling out of control, this story feels like a deep breath of fresh air.
